About Sherry LaLonde

"I feel so fortunate to be pursuing my passion of photography! Since childhood, I have dreamed of turning my love of photography into a career, yet, as if by accident, I found myself deeply entrenched in the world of business.

While working as an insurance and financial services agent for almost twenty years, I never put the camera down. It was my therapy. I was successful in the business field, not because of my love of insurance, rather because of my love of people. However, success came at a rather high price, as years of stress in the world of business and finance ground me down both physically and spiritually. My health was badly affected and my spirit was empty. Fortunately, my wonderful and supportive husband, Don, lovingly, yet forcibly suggested I retire in 2006 and encouraged me to pursue my artistic passion.

During the past few years of physical and emotional recovery, I have completely immersed myself deeper in photography, learning, growing and honing my skills. My art comes from my soul - it is my gift and I believe it is our responsibility to share our gifts with the world. It is my immense privilege and honor that you choose me to create a work of art for you...one that will last for generations to come."

Sherry can hardly remember a time in her life without a camera in her hands. Her artistic passion drives her. A strong insight and genuine love of people are her inspiration. Preferring the use of natural light, she uses the spectacular beauty of the Redding and Mount Shasta areas as her palette.
